Lovely lace triangles sway back and forth between lines of purled garter stitch, creating a soothing pattern with comforting thermal warmth.
Based on an Estonian stitch pattern, this lace blanket can be edged either with garter stitch or scalloped lace at the top and bottom.
Size: About 34" (86cm) wide by 40" (102cm) long.
Will vary with choice of yarn and the amount of blocking. Instructions are given for three yarn weights.
Yarn Requirements and Needle Sizes:
Fingering wt (4ply): 1250 yards (1143m); US #6 (4mm) needles
DK wt (8ply): 1050 yards (960m); US #8 (5mm) needles
Worsted wt (10ply): 850 yards (777m); US #10 (6mm) needles
Gauge in Stockinette Stitch:
Fingering wt: 22 sts = 4" (10cm)
Sport/DK wt: 18 sts = 4" (10cm)
Worsted wt: 14 sts = 4" (10cm)
Suggested Naturally Yarns:
Fingering wt: Haven or Classic 4 ply; Sport/DK wt: Loyal or Classic DK
Worsted wt: Any of the 10ply wools
