Multicolored, mid-size tote made in worsted weight or use a bulky weight for a larger carryall.
Finished sizes: Approximate measurements, laid out flat.
Small Tote: 19" (48cm) wide, 13" (33cm) deep.
Large Tote: 24" (61cm) wide 15" (38cm) deep.
Yarn Requirements:
Use worsted weight for the smaller size tote and bulky weight for a larger size. Choose a wool or wool/mohair blend that felts well.
For best results, always test felt a sample using all colors to be sure you are happy with the results.
Small Tote in worsted weight requires 375 yds (343m) MC (main color), 50 yds (46m) of color B, 85 yds (78m) each of C and D, 50 (46m) yds of E.
Large Tote in bulky weight requires 475 yds (434m) of MC, 90 yds (82m) of Color B, 125 yds each of C and D, 60yds (55m) of E.
To make in a solid, handpainted or self striping yarn add up the above yardage for a total.
Suggested Naturally Yarns: Vero or JJ's handpainted Montage 10ply.
