These reversible scarves or cowl knit up in a soft, thermal fabric, giving you the extra warmth when the weather turns cold.
Yarn Requirements:
Scarves:
Approximately 300 yds (275 meters) of a dk wt yarn; 400 yards (365) of worsted weight.
Scarves in photo are knit in:
(natural) Rowan belle organic aran single strand.
294 yards (270m), finished size = 5 x 69 inches (13 x 175 cm)
(brown) Brown Sheep Co; Lamb's Pride single strand.
380 yds (347m), finished size= 7 x 70 inches (18 x 178 cm)
Cowl:
Approximately 110 yds (101) meters of a dk weight yarn.
Cowl in photo is (blue) dk weight yarn (196) yards.
Finished size = 5 x 201/2 inches (12.5 x 52cm).
Needles:
dk wt: US 5 and 8 (3.75 mm and 5 mm); straight for scarf and 16 inches/40cm long for circular for scarf.
Notions: stitch marker for cowl.
Gauge:
In dk, measured over pattern: 27 sts & 32 rows = 4 inches (10cm)
In worsted, measured over pattern: 20 sts & 26 rows= 4 inches (10cm).
